What is PPI?
PPI (Pixels Per Inch) is a measure of pixel density that indicates how many pixels are displayed per inch of screen space. Higher PPI values result in sharper, more detailed images.
Formula: PPI = √(Width² + Height²) ÷ Diagonal Size
Common PPI Values:
- • 72 PPI: Standard web resolution
- • 96 PPI: Windows default
- • 300 PPI: Print quality
- • 400+ PPI: High-end displays
Example Calculations:
- • 1920×1080, 24": ~92 PPI
- • 2560×1440, 27": ~109 PPI
- • 3840×2160, 32": ~138 PPI
- • 1920×1080, 15.6": ~141 PPI
